Sehnsucht
Ein Mann und eine Frau leben in einem Dorf in der Nähe von Berlin und sind unzertrennlich. Die Stadt scheint weit weg zu sein. Beide sind Anfang dreißig. Markus ist Schlosser und Mitglied der freiwilligen Feuerwehr. Ella arbeitet ein paar Stunden in der Woche als Haushaltshilfe und singt im Chor. Von den anderen werden sie staunend, fast misstrauisch beäugt, da sie so glücklich scheinen, unschuldig und manchmal ahnungslos wie zwei Kinder. Eines Tages geht Markus mit der Freiwilligen Feuerwehr auf Dienstreise in die Kreisstadt. Abends wird getrunken, gelacht, getanzt. Am nächsten Morgen wacht er in der Wohnung einer fremden Frau auf. Er kann sich nur an wenig erinnern. Als er versucht herauszufinden, was geschehen ist, ist das der Anfang einer anderen, ungewohnten Liebe, die die Liebe zu seiner Frau nicht zu berühren scheint. Es fällt ihm schwer, den Weg zurück in sein altes Leben zu finden.
Longing
A couple has been living in a village close to Berlin and they are inseparable. The city seems far away. Both are in their early thirties; Markus is a locksmith and member of the volunteer fire department and Ella is a housemaid and sings in a choir. They amaze the others who almost suspiciously look at them as they seem so happy and innocent as children. One day Markus attends a training with the fire department. At night they laugh, drink and dance. Next morning he wakes up in woman’s apartment and he can hardly remember anything. When he tries to find out what happened it is the beginning of a different and unusual love which does not seem to affect the love for his wife. It is difficult to go back to his old life. It is a momentous melodrama with a distinctly documentary-like feel.
Mall
Një burrë dhe një grua jetojnë në një fshat në afërsi të Berlinit dhe janë të pandashëm. Qyteti duket të jetë shumë larg. Që të dy janë në fillim të të tridhjetava. Markusi është bravar dhe vullnetar tek zjarrfikësat. Ela punon disa orë në javë si mirëmbajtëse e shtëpisë dhe këndon në kor. Ata i habisin të tjerët, të cilët i shikojnë me mosbesim pasi që duken kaq të lumtur e të pafajshëm si dy fëmijë. Një ditë Markusi merr pjesë në një trajnim me zjarrëfikësët. Natën pinë, qeshin dhe vallëzojnë. Në mëngjesin e ditës tjetër ai zgjohet në banesën e një femre të panjohur. Atij vështirë se i kujtohet ndonjë gjë. Gjatë përpjekjes për të zbuluar se çfarë ka ndodhur, fillon një dashuri e re, e pazakontë e cila duket se nuk ndikon në dashurinë ndaj gruas së tij. Tani Markusi e ka veshtirë t’i kthehet jetës së mëparshme.
Čežnja
Jedan čovek i jedna žive u selu blizu Berlina i nerazdvojni su. Grad im se čini vrlo dalekim. Oboje su u ranim tridesetim. Markus je bravar i dobrovoljni vatrogasac. Ela radi nekoliko sati nedeljno kao kućna pomoćnica i peva u horu. Ljudi se čude i gledaju ih s nepoverenjem jer oni izgledaju tako srećni i nevini kao dva deteta. Jednog dana Markus učestvuje u obuci sa vatrogasacima. Uveče popiju, smeju se i igraju uz muziku. Sledećeg jutra on se budi u stanu nepoznate žene. On se ne seća gotovo ničega od prethodne noći. Pokušavajući da oktrije šta se desilo, započinje nova, neobična ljubav, koja ne utiče na njegovu ljubav pema supruzi. Sada je Markusu teško da se vrati prethodnom životu.

Director’s Biography: Valeska Grisebach
Valeska Grisebach was born in Bremen in 1968 and grew up in Berlin. After secondary school she studied German and Philosophy in Berlin, Munich and Vienna. In 1993 she began studying directing at the Film Academy Vienna, spending a semester at the Deutsche Film- und Fernsehakademie in Berlin. After the documentaries „Sprechen und Nichtsprechen“ (1995), „In der Wüste Gobi“ (1997) and “Berlino” (1999), which won several awards such as the First Steps Award 2001 and prices at the Torino International and the Toronto Film Festival, Grisebach directed her first feature film “Mein Stern” (2001) (“Be My Star”) as her final diploma project. She has been working as a freelance screenwriter and director.
